Raw foodism, also known as rawism or following a raw food diet, is the dietary practice of eating only or mostly food that is uncooked and unprocessed.

Here are some pros to eating a raw diet:


1. Improve heart health - With a focus on fruits and vegetables, eating a raw diet will aid in improving heart health. Both are linked to lower blood pressure and a reduced risk of heart disease.


2. Reduce risk in diabetes - Again, due to the focus on fruits and vegetables, a raw diet helps lower your risk of type 2 diabetes. Additionally, this diet is rich in fiber, a nutrient linked to lower blood sugar levels and increased insulin sensitivity.


3. Aid in weight loss - A raw diet - one low in fats, is known to aid in weight loss and help keep weight off over time.


4. Improve Digestion - Raw diets are high in both soluble and insoluble fibers. Insoluble fibers help food move more quickly through your gut, reducing the likelihood of constipation. Soluble fiber is also beneficial, as it helps feed the good bacteria in your intestines.
